Didn't even know a new video was out. Anyway, from their upcoming album. Amazing track, but what else can you expect from these guys. Definitely hear a bit of Far Off Grace & Beyond Daylight.

Re: ...and Portnoy's back!
I, for one am excited. DT music over the past decade with Mangini had become too song oriented for my liking (other than Breaking All Illusions). I don't know if they have it in them, but I'd definitely like to hear the spontaneity of I & W, and some renewed passion. In all, great news for the Prog ...

OMG, I can't believe no one has even mentioned this album. Just like the No Spin disc, this is amazing modern Prog Metal performed excellently. To my ears, it's a mix of Disperse along with some Arch Echo, but very melodic, and Progressive as well. Just like I enjoy it... BTW, there is a singer in t...

Parius - The Signal Heard Throughout Space
Another album no one has mentioned. This one came out in 2022, now this is Progressive music. IMO, it sounds like Dream Theater with Tetrafusion. Remember them?? Even the singer sounds like the dude from Tetrafusion. Definitely an amazing album. Check it out for yourselves. https://parius.bandcamp.c...

Re: Voyager - Fearless in Love
Huge disappointment for me . Where are the metal elements to this?? This just sounds like a Pop album with guitars buried in the mix. BTW, there is nothing Progressive with this album with songs in the 2-3 minute range. Good luck to them.

I can't believe this album hasn't been mentioned here. IMO, the best and most unexpected album I've heard this year. This is Haken, Devin Townsend & Dream Theater all in one. Amazing album... I'll let you all decide for yourselves.

Amazing album. I hear a mix of Anekdoten, Opeth and Porcupine Tree.

Elder - Innate Passage
Found this one at Bandcamp, and I can't believe I had never heard of these guys. The music is amazing, it's a mix of Anekdoten, a bit of Indukti (except for the violin), Mellotron sounds and melodies throughout the album all meshed perfectly with a Post Rock vocalist. It's an amazing album IMO. Defi...

For those that didn't know, StS just released their new album on Friday. Man, it's awesome. Insane guitar work, and musicianship, why the new vocalist does the music justice. This album takes them back to their debut sound, so if you enjoyed the debut, you're definitely going to enjoy this one. Chec...

Re: For fans of Odd Logic
This is an amazing album. It reminds of Enchant, a bit of King's X, and The Gin Blossoms while throughout a very melodic album. Sean & Dan do an amazing job with this project. Definitely worth your time

For fans of Tool, A Perfect Circle & Opeth "Damnation" era, this is definitely one to check out. Melodic, complex music. Awesome stuff.
It's great to hear that some bands today aren't afraid to play Progressive music.

I can't understand why no one has not mentioned this... Chaos Divine is one of the better Prog bands from Australia. IMO, even better than Caligula's Horse. Their last album Colliding Skies was a great album. However, based on the singles they've released, the new one is sounding even better. Their ...

Being that Doom Metal is being discussed in this board with the new My Dying Bride. I'd like to make a recommendation of an album anyone into Doom Metal or just a Metal fan should definitely listen to. It's from the band Isole. These guys play Traditional Doom Metal with an awesome singer. Their lat...

Awesome to read that there are others who also enjoy Doom. I've been a huge fan ever since Like Gods of the Sun. Just grabbed my copy, but haven't heard it. Can't wait to just let the darkness consume me

Where's the Darkwater love??
Just a thought I wanted to post. I can't believe there's not more chatter for the new Darkwater album :? This album hasn't left my Playlist since it came out. It's got everything us (ProgHeads) love about this genre... It's heavy, melodic, symphonic in parts, intricate and most importantly, one hell...

Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread
Here are 2 bands/albums that no one has mentioned. 1) Trival Act: Mindscape An awesome album that came out in 1997 (I believe). They were from Norway. This band was on the technical side of Prog, but very melodic as well. A Dream Theater meets Fates Warning as they had no keyboards in their sound. I...

Time, the Valuator - How Fleeting How Fragile
Just discovered this band, awesome stuff. Some of you might be turned off because of the modern sound, but this done the way I like it. Clean vocals, progressive, ambient, etc. The new Prog if you ask me... Anyway, for those interested, here's a full album stream at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/...
